The application of Artificial Intelligence algorithms to video image processing makes it possible to extract crucial information to react in real time to critical issues in traffic management.

Various video analysis technologies are effectively integrated into the SINCRO ATMS system, allowing statistical information to be acquired on traffic flows (e.g. vehicle count and classification, journey times, presence of vehicles transporting dangerous goods) and critical events such as delays, queues, stationary vehicles, spilled cargo, presence of smoke in tunnels, pedestrians on the road, and wrong-way vehicles.

Dedicated modules in the SINCRO suite ensure the consistent and effective management of this information, through the management of alerts, the activation of automatic response plans to react promptly to events, and the production of reports and statistics useful for documenting the development and management of an event and analysing the various types of traffic data.
