SINCRO is an integrated system that enables the monitoring of motorway sections, the management of information, and the coordination of infrastructure intervention and maintenance activities.

SINCRO enables the complete and functional integration of heterogeneous systems used in ITS (e.g. cameras, variable-message signs and SCADA) and simplifies their coordination by collecting data in a single, comprehensive and intuitive interface.

The system also acts as a Decision Support System (DSS), providing control room operators, operations managers and maintenance staff with tools to effectively manage day-to-day operations and emergencies, optimising response times and coordination with third parties, such as law enforcement and emergency vehicles.

It is a continuously evolving system to provide a response to the needs of licensee companies, such as traffic condition forecasting models, hazardous goods monitoring, and road worksite planning. SINCRO is now at the heart of 15 operating centres in Italy for managing a motorway network of more than 1,400 km.
