Dynamic Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) systems are a strategic application for traffic and infrastructure monitoring and management. In addition to enabling the swift identification of overweight vehicles, WIM stations generate a series of data that, when processed appropriately, allow for insight into route traffic and the development of proactive decision support systems.

LIBRA/S is Sinelec’s flexible, modular and scalable end-to-end WIM solution. It is based on an architecture that can be configured according to the scope of application and required accuracy of measurement. The platform integrates the field elements of weighing stations and a multi-site central control system, through which the operation and diagnostic status of multiple sites can be remotely monitored. The centralised console guarantees advanced management of stations and collected data. The information asset acquired is stored in a database for reporting and analytics and to create data-driven models.

Compatible with WIM solutions already installed, LIBRA/S interfaces with Operational Control Centres (OCCs) and Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) systems to optimise operations management, increase road safety, and implement effective weight enforcement policies.
