SINELEC: protagonist of POLIMI “Connected Car & Mobility Technologies” Workshop

SINELEC took part in the workshop of the fourth edition of the Connected Car & Mobility Observatory which was held on January 13 at the Bovisa headquarters of the Milan Polytechnic. During the event Sebastiano Spanò, Head of ITS Competence Center, described the strategic role of Sinelec as a partner in the project of technological innovation and ecological transition of the A4 Turin-Milan motorway which will make the section among the most advanced in Italy and Europe. The project will transform the A4, a motorway concession managed by the ASTM Group, into a digital, resilient and sustainable highway, representing, not only symbolically, ASTM’s vision of the Motorway of the Future.

More than 20 years of industry knowledge, a solid industrial approach and proven operational capabilities: these are our hallmarks. Sinelec combines experience and the power of digital innovation to design and implement solutions that make transportation infrastructures intelligent, making a difference in the daily mobility of millions of people.” commented Spanò. “As the technological arm of the ASTM Group, a leading international operator in the concessions sector, we know the world of motorway operations perfectly and are able to respond to its specific needs. Sinelec today is the “best in class” player in the realization of Smart Road systems in Italy.

The Workshop presents some of the progress in the Connected Car & Mobility field, made possible by technological innovation: the evolution of V2X communication technologies, new Smart Road projects, the analysis of innovations concerning autonomous driving, Artificial Intelligence and ADAS systems. The appointment is part of the Digital Innovation Observatories of the Milan Polytechnic School of Management, which offer spaces for discussion and collaboration to promote digital innovation as an essential engine for the development of Italy’s economy.
